I was born in a small fishing/shipping town on the west coast of Scotland. I came to the USA when I was 2 years old, so sadly I don't have the cool accent.

(Seriously, I really wish I had it. I've tried faking it, and it sounds horrible)

Because of my dad's job, we move around a lot. I grew up all over the USA: Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Washington State, Oregon, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Virginia were all at one time the place I called home. We finally landed in Port Orchard, WA where I finished high school. This is also where I fell in love with photography. South Kitsap High School had a very well funded vocational photography course where I learned how to operate a camera and develop film and make b&W prints.
After high school I had no idea what to do with my life, so I did what any young red-blooded American boy would do. I joined the United States Marine Corps. I spent 2 years in "Security Forces" stationed on a Naval Weapons station in New Jersey, then was transferred to MCAGCC 29Palms and joined the famed 1stBattalion/7thMarines (Chesty Pullers old unit during WWII). I served as a rifleman during Desert Shield/Desert Storm as part of Task Force Ripper.

I work now mainly in Information Technology, formerlly at Intel, and now for a BioTech company. I'm disabled now due to injuries I got in the US Marines. I rarely ever do Weddings anymore due the fact that I'm unreliable because of my disability. But I'm still open to projects, photoshoots and I'm the primary photographer for Portland Fashion Week . If you have a project in mind (That doesn't require a lot of walking, or hill/stair climbing), please feel free to get ahold of me.
